About the AACE Michigan Chapter
The Michigan Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) is a professional medical organization devoted to the enhancement of the practice of clinical endocrinology.
Organizational Overview
Members of Michigan AACE are physicians with special education, training and interest in the practice of clinical endocrinology. They devote a significant part of their career to the evaluation and management of patients with endocrine disease.
Most members of AACE are certified by Boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Members of AACE are recognized clinicians, educators and scientists, many of whom are affiliated with medical schools and universities.
Members of AACE contribute on a regular and continuing basis to the scientific literature on endocrine diseases and conduct medical education programs on this subject.
Goals
To maintain a society of qualified medical, pediatric, reproductive and surgical endocrinologists who coordinate their efforts to further the practice of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
To utilize the highest standards of practice in endocrinology, providing education for endocrinologists, other physicians and patients to help achieve this goal.
To advocate the necessary changes to benefit patients and endocrinologists, and to keep abreast of important aspects of scientific, economic, social and political factors impacting the practice of clinical endocrinology.
To work with AACE and other professional organizations to enhance the field of endocrinology for the patient and physician.
